Sally Gilbert Log cabin jacket
The log cabin jacket was made several years ago-mostly from wool pieces left from other projects. The outer fabric was pieced together, then quilted to the lining without batting. The pieces were then cut out and edges bound. Then it was put together with regular sewing techniques. There is another-almost identical-in the area, which Sally made for a friend. Sally used a pattern, but only kept the copy-with alterations to fit her-and did not identify the original source on the copy. Sally, is this like the old family recipe you share, but leave out a key ingredient?? |
