Rainbow Challenge Entries were Presented at the August 2 Guild Meeting
Thanks to the many FSQ members who made quilts for the Rainbow Challenge. The August guild meeting was the big “reveal” of 31 beautiful quilts and was also the evening when members could choose their favorite. With all of the talent in our guild, it was no surprise that it was a difficult decision! Yard sale bucks were awarded to the top three vote-getters:
1st Place – The Piece Makers: Elaine Villforth, Lorie Coston, Lynn Stieber, Charlene Danka, Carmen Sesvold, Peggy Weidman, Heidi Oestreicher and Laura Chaskes (who was unable to attend the meeting) for their quilt "Antonia the Tiger", a pattern by Elizabeth Hartman.
2nd Place – Ginny Leake for her sweet mod birdies on a rainbow checkerboard.
3rd Place – Wendy Bauman for her rainbow pineapple block patterned quilt.
The quilts have all been donated to area organizations, including Comfort Cases and the Shady
Grove Hospital Pediatric unit. Congratulations to the winners and many thanks to them and to all those who donated a quilt!
