2007 Quilt Show Silent Auction In the Silent Auction, members sell their quilted items and benefit both themselves and the Guild. The Guild's proceeds help fund the educational speakers and teachers who appear at Guild meetings and present Guild workshops. A percentage of the proceeds from each item is returned to the member who made it. Some of the most popular items in the Silent Auction are wall hangings, pillows, and crib quilts. Many items are great seasonal decorations. The items being auctioned are displayed near books in which Quilt Show visitors can enter written bids. At predetermined times during the Show, the books are closed on some items and those items are awarded to the winning bidders. Quilt Show visitors can bid on high-quality handmade quilted items that will make great gifts or become treasured personal belongings. The Silent Auction will be open during the entire Quilt Show. Members who have items to submit should use the link in the column to the left to print a copy of the entry form. |
