Every year on the third weekend in January, Friendship Star Quilters Guild sponsors a retreat where quilters can sew 24/7, get to know other quilters, learn from each other, and if desired, get pampered with a massage. This is a wonderful opportunity to relax and explore your creative potential.

FSQ 2014 "Quilters Unsupervised" Weekend

We are pleased to announce FSQ's 16th annual sewing retreat, a fun gathering of Quilters Unsupervised. We will be returning to the Retreat and Conference Center at Bon Secours in Marriottsville MD, which has beautiful facilities including a conference room (our sewing space) with natural light coming from windows on two sides. Treat yourself to a long weekend without the distractions of home. Bring your sewing machine and projects you want to work on and Sew! Sew! Sew! If you so choose, you may also sign up for a chair massage or full body massage with one of the massage therapists who will be on hand much of the weekend. Enjoy the company of other quilters and receive inspiration and guidance from fellow FSQ members.

When:	This year we are offering two options: Option 1: 2 nights Friday, Jan. 17 (1 pm) through Sunday, Jan. 19 (5 pm) Option 2: 3 nights Friday, Jan. 17 (1 pm) through Monday, Jan. 20 (5 pm) Note: We need a minimum of 10 for option 2.
Where:	Retreat and Conference Center at Bon Secours Marriottsville, Maryland (about 2 miles north of I70 and Rt. 40 on Marriottsville Road) http://www.rccbonsecours.org
Cost:	All rooms are single occupancy. Option 1: $300.00 (Friday & Saturday) Option 2: $450.00 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
Schedule of Payments:	Registration begins at May Meeting. $50.00 deposit due at registration Balance due October 7, 2013
Includes:	Option 1: Two nights’ lodging, six meals and snacks; one full and two partial days of sewing. Option 2: Three nights’ lodging, nine meals and snacks; two full and three partial days of sewing. To register, please completely fill out the attached form (MSWord or PDF) and send it along with a deposit of $50 by check made payable to FSQ. You may turn in the form and deposit to Nancy or Anne at the FSQ meetings or mail it to Nancy Brennan, 4605 Gemstone Terrace, Rockville, MD 20852. The deposit and final payment are nonrefundable unless you can get a replacement. We can take a maximum of 36 and we will maintain a wait list. The balance must be paid no later than the October meeting - October 7, 2013, due to our contractual obligations with the Center. More detailed information, including directions to BSSC and activity schedules, will be provided after January 1st.
