What do we do?
Currently we provide regular donations of quilts, from baby-sized to adult-sized to Comfort Cases, A Wider Circle, Project Linus, Sheppard Pratt and Healthy Families Montgomery.
Quilts for premature babies (preemies) go to Children's National Hospital NICU, Project Linus and Sheppard Pratt.
Pillowcases go to A Case for Smiles.
Placemats go to A Wider Circle and Meals on Wheels.
Join us for one of our twice-monthly workshops. We meet at the Fairhaven United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located on Darnestown Road near Quince Orchard High School from 9:30 am until noon. Our upcoming 2025 meeting dates are
Thursdays
What sizes do we accept?
Preemie quilts are 30-33" square or rectangular.
Baby, children's and teen quilts are 36" to twin size. Different organizations prefer different sizes. We can find a good home for them all. If you are donating a quilt top for us to finish, we prefer tops that are width of fabric (WOF) which we can finish up quickly. We can provide batting and backing.
Please see buttons below for more information on sizes and directions.
Guild members create quilts using either their own materials or with fabric that has been generously donated to the guild. You can also pick up a ready-to-go kit at a monthly guild meeting.
Do you have quilting fabric, batting or sewing supplies you would like to donate? Are you interested in joining us or want more information? Visit the Make a Donation page and we will be in touch soon.
