President’s Message
Hello Quilters,
I hope you all have enjoyed your Holiday Celebrations and are ready for a Joyous New Year in
2025. I hope all your goals and wishes are attainable and include some sewing time.
Just a few things from me this month.
• Our program committee is retiring soon, and we are looking for some new folks to volunteer to
help with this important job for the Guild. Think about volunteering. And they will soon be
starting to work on next year’s programs. Do you have a favorite teacher or topic to
recommend? Maybe you went to a larger Quilting event like Oaks, Hampton, QuiltCon, MAQ
or someplace else and saw someone that might be interesting for either an in-person or Zoom
meeting. If you do, please let the program committee know your thoughts.
• The Quilt show is coming in April, which isn’t that far off; registrations will close on March
15th. Get working on finishing up your submissions and don’t forget about the FSQ
Challenge “Life is a Beach”, the silent auction and the boutique. We all want the show to be a
huge success and that will only happen if we all participate.
• We are on Zoom in January and February and return to live/hybrid meetings in March at our
new location. More details on the new location as we get closer to the March meeting but I’m
excited to see how it all comes together at Asbury, I’m sure it will be wonderful.
• Service Projects still meets in person over the winter. Please consider joining them to help
tie/bind quilts and socialize with other members of the guild. We have a lot of fun while we
work together on charity quilts.
Thanks, and enjoy this winter season.
Anne
